Reserve a vendor spot

Jenny will be on the floor and behind the counter six days a week, helping shoppers find the thing they didn't know they were looking for. She brings years of social media marketing experience and plans to put it to work promoting every vendor and small business that makes The Cottage Door what it is.

The vision

What it will feel like inside.

Warm light, worn wood, plants everywhere, and a different find around every corner. These are AI concept renderings of the room Jenny is building toward, not photos of the finished space.

Every image marked "Concept rendering" was generated to show the vision. Real photos will replace them as the build comes together.

Happenings

More than a place to shop.

The Cottage Door is built to be a gathering place for downtown Rome, with something new going on every month.

Vendor pop-ups

Short-term spots for makers who want to test the waters or bring a seasonal collection through the door.

Workshops

Hands-on classes with the makers themselves. Learn the craft behind the things you love.

Special events

Seasonal celebrations, promotional events, and book signings that turn a shopping trip into an outing.

Vendor of the month

Every month Jenny will spotlight one vendor, in the store and online, so you can meet the people behind the products and hear their story.

If you are a vendor, that means a real introduction to our shoppers, with Jenny's years of social media marketing behind it, not just a booth number.

Two Wishes, by Jenny Mills

Long before this door, there was a much smaller one.

Jenny is also a published children's author. Two Wishes grew out of her own childhood, when she believed in a fairy who lived behind a tiny door and left glittery little notes for her to find.

In the story, a girl with long brown hair spots something sparkling at the roots of an old oak tree in her backyard. It's a tiny note, and beside it, a tiny door. What she does next, and who she meets, unfolds into a tale of hopes and promises with a surprise ending you'll want to read again.
